LUCIA HOLM is a self taught photographer.
She mainly focuses on self portraiture as she feels she can get the message she wants to portay across in the best possible way and can get as 'weird' as she likes with them. Her inspirations for most of her work come from old book covers, films , classic stories and vintage photographs, which then give Holm's photographs an 'other-world' feel to them, almost fairy-tale like. She has a "huge interest in anything macabre".
Some of Lucia's favourite photographers include Gregory Crewdson, Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Cindy Sherman, Bruce Davisdon and Annie Leibovitz. All of which show distint resemblance to Lucia's work.
Holm's has a mixture of different photography projects. Below are the few I feel best fit the title "Available Light".

I admire the fact that Lucia's work has a sinister and distrurbing atmosphere to them, putting the viewer in a "wanting to know what happens next" situation and giving them the freedom to formulate their own story line to each narrative image.
